Senior FAQ

Q. How much do the portraits cost?
A. At the Big Picture, we have no minimum orders so you may order as many or as few as you need. Wallets run $0.57 to $4.38 depending on the quantity that you order. Gift prints are $49.00 to $59.00 depending on the size and finish, and we have packages that range from $179.00 all the way up to our Elite Package at $1697.00. All packages include retouching and some of the packages include portfolio, proof set and the negatives. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

Q. Do you do professional make-up?
A. Yes! We have a full time make-up artist on staff. Elegance and simplicity are what we strive for. Fee for professional make-up is $25.00

Q. Can you retouch a blemish?
A. Yes, all packages include retouching to smooth way minor blemishes and imperfections. All portrait orders are also color balanced for the best look.

Q. What if I want to take outdoor portraits and its cloudy that day?
A. Cloudy days are actually ideal for outdoor portraits. Go ahead and keep your appointment. That way, if it does rain, only the outdoor portion of your session will have to be rescheduled.

Q. Do you take outdoor pictures?
A. We're known for our great outdoor portraits. This year, we added new sets for the Class of 2007 seniors to choose from. We recommend casual clothing and "earth tone" clothing for outdoor settings.

Q. Can I bring my own props?
A. Bring props that help define who you are. Some popular choices are: class ring, letter jacket, sports, band and cheerleading uniforms, sports equipment (soccer ball, football pads, baseball bat & glove) awards and medals, stuffed animals, music instruments, athletic clothing, hobbies, dance leotard & shoes and fresh flowers.

Clothing - It's best to bring a variety of colors and dress styles like casual wear & formal attire. Here are some things to consider when selecting your clothes.

" Casual outfits in earth tones work best for outdoor photographs."

" Mid tones or dark solids are ideal for formal portraits."

" Bright colors look great with our color key backgrounds."

" White and pastel colors are perfect for lighter backgrounds."

" Choose long sleeve shirts or sweaters rather than short sleeves."

Hair - Plan to wear your hair in a style you're comfortable with. Avoid new cuts or styles. Be sure to bring a brush, comb, hair spray and gel for that quick touch up.

Glasses - Most glasses glare - some prescriptions more than others. If you wear glasses, wear them for your portrait, but first have an optometrist remove the lenses.

Makeup - Makeup should be kept as fresh and natural as you would normally wear.

Summer Tans - Tans are nice, but sunburns aren't. Limit your sun exposure prior to your photo date.

Ladies - Be sure to have your nails manicured. Many casual shots are done barefoot, so don't forget about those toes! Avoid really bright colors. Natural or basic tones work best. Don't forget your hair brush, makeup, nylons, belts and your senior ring.

Guys - A clean shave is a must. Facial hair cannot be retouched. Bring the right shoes for the right outfits. Don't forget your hair brush, belts, and your senior ring.
